Station 1
Hi Tara -
Could use your help with something. I am having a lot of pain under my feet. Like, when I walk, my feet hurt. It started a few weeks ago, and it seem like it’s worse first thing in the morning and it’s worse during the week, better on the weekends.
Any thoughts on what is happening?
Thanks -
Tanya
Station 2
Hey Tara -
Not sure what to do with this one - it seems pretty complex. I am having a lot of hip pain, and it is pretty stabbing. It’s definitely worse as I walk forward, but that might be because whatever muscle runs down my leg is tight. It’s the muscle or tendon or whatever on the inside of my leg.
I ended up having an x-ray and an MRI, and it shows a lot of bone spurs on the hip. Apparently, one of the bone spurs is sort of catching the hip as I move forward, if that makes sense.
Looks like I am probably going to need surgery to clean those off, but I’d like to understand why I have them so I can fix that and not have them come back.
Thanks a ton,
James
Station 3:
Dear Tara -
I keep getting kidney stones. It’s always on the right side. I started having them about 2 years ago, I go through a period of excruciating pain to get them to pass, and then I’m okay for a bit. Then they come back.
This last one, I needed surgery to break it up so it could pass.
How do I get this cycle to stop? What is going on? So frustrated.
Thanks,
Leila
Station 4:
Hi Tara -
My blood pressure is sky high right now. The doctor says I need to get it under control, which I will, but I am trying to figure out what’s going on. It’s been high for a while now, but not this high. I am definitely having stress at work, and I am not dealing with it well.
I know I am lonely; I went through a divorce not to long ago. That probably has an impact, too.
Does that make sense? I guess it’s emotional stuff, then?
Thanks,
Elena
Station 5:
Hey Tara-
I need your help with translating this one.
I have polyps on my vocal cords. I am a singer, and this is affecting my ability to perform. I am not sure what the heck to do about it. I started noticing that my voice felt “full” when I spoke - almost like I had something stuck in there. That’s when I went to check it out.
It’s been about 3 months or so.
I love to sing. I want to sing. This is really concerning, because I have a big audition coming up soon, and I have to do something.
Thanks so much…
Station 6
Dear Tara,
I keep breaking out all over my forehead. I am 40! What in the world is happening?
Thanks -
Julie
Station 7
I have developed this pigment-eating thing all over my body; it’s called vitiligo. Basically, I now have all these patches of white on my skin right now; I am very dark-skinned, so it’s startling to look at. There is also a patch on the roof of my mouth.
It’s been happening for the last year and a half or so.
Thanks for taking a look at this for me.

Self-Love Mini-Workshop - The Power of Self-Love in Illness, Healing, and Manifestation
Self-love is healing.
It’s manifestation.
It’s the belief that you can accomplish your goals.
It’s also at the core of so much of where we
In this mini-workshop, I translate the physical issues from two people, and then we take a deep dive on self-love.
I show you:
Why self-love is so important
What early influences may have made you feel unworthy
Why those beliefs are unlikely to be true
How we can be unable to see the truth about ourselves, and how to start.
Why you are likely a much better person - and more capable - than you ever thought.
And more.
To work through the practices I talk about in the mini-workshop, download the worksheet and Body Love guided self-love exercise below.
Please note: It’s a great idea to use the Body Love guided practice at least every other day to see the biggest benefit!
How did this work for you? What revelations did you have? I’ve love to know. Please comment below!
Downloadable Body Love/Self-Love practice:
Use this along with a mirror (or close your eyes and imagine a mirror).
To properly do the practice, first write down all the things you are grateful that you can experience because you are in the body you are in.
- What things are you grateful that you can feel?
- What things are you grateful for being able to see?
- What things are you grateful for being able to taste?
- What things are you grateful for being able to hear?
- What things are you grateful for being able to touch?
- What things are you grateful to fully experience because you are in your body?

Ask Tara Live: Translating the Message of Breathing Difficulties
In this Ask Tara Live, I answer two questions from course members about lung and breathing issues and what they might mean.
The first question is from Julie…she asks:
Hey Tara -
Have a bit of a complex issue for you.
I’ve had asthma off and on since childhood. I always thought it had something to do with allergies, but it went away completely when I went to college. That was a massive shock to me, but I was happy about it.
Now, all of the sudden, I am getting asthma again. I went through the Station 4 stuff in the course, but I am still having a hard time making a connection. Any idea what might be going on? Do you think I am getting allergies again? Or what’s up with this?
Thanks for taking a look at this for me -
Julie
The second question is from Selena:
Hi Tara-
My dad has COPD, and I am wondering if you could help me translate that.
What’s happening in his COPD is that he just cannot get enough air. He says that it feels like a tight band around him all the time. He also says that he feels like his right lung is tighter than his left, which he can’t really explain. When doctors look at it, he seems to have more scarring in his right lung than his left.
He is a Vietnam veteran, so the VA docs are saying that it could be exposure to chemicals in the war. But that doesn’t completely make sense to me; I wonder if there is a connection to my brother being absent from the family?
He also has high blood pressure in the right artery, so I feel like there’s got to be a connection there.
Thanks so much for any help - it’s horrible to see him struggling to breathe sometimes, and I’d love to see if I could help him by translating this and helping him to heal from whatever it is.
Have a good day -
Selena
The translations on these two questions is fascinating; tune in and check it out!
Ask Tara Live: Translating Pain and a Pain Release Meditation
In this Ask Tara Live, we take a look at two very interesting cases of pains - one where the pain is moving, and one that’s radiating around.
After the translation, I take you through a powerful pain release meditation. I hope that it lifts everything off you and helps you to feel pain-free - or much less pain - right away!
Joe asks:
Dear Tara,
I am having a strange pain that starts out in my foot and moves up to my hip. It’s on my left side, and it starts on the outer left side of my foot. It then travels up and feels like it’s going to the inside of my knee, then moves back out to my hip.
It’s kind of a deep ache when it’s in my foot, but when I feel it in my knee, it’s more of a stabbing pain when I step forward.
When it makes it to my hip, it’s again more of an ache.
I can’t figure this one out. The only thing I can think is that it’s something to do with me starting my own business and not feeling supported. I don’t understand why it’s moving around.
Can you help me see what this might be?
Thanks so much,
Joe
And Marina wants to know:
Hey Tara,
I have back pain that is in my low back and it radiates out and around, sometimes up to my stomach. It’s always on the left side. I’ve been to doctors and they don’t see anything wrong. I went to a chiropractor and she said that my left hip is lower than my right, so she adjusted me for that. However, my hip keeps sliding back down every time I see her.
I can’t figure out what is going on with this. Can you give any insight?
Thanks so much -
Marina

Why we are all so fatigued right now (spoiler: It’s a trigger due to the anniversary of the COVID pandemic)
I was getting SO many questions about why we were all feeling this collective exhaustion right now (and I was certainly dragging a bit myself), so I thought it was a great time to talk about why something like the anniversary of the COVID pandemic and shut downs would be triggering your body to react with tiredness, stress, worry, or whatever else it might be doing at the moment.
This is different than just pandemic fatigue; it’s literally your body remembering a trigger of a certain date and reacting.

I talk about ways to be able to get rid of all the emotions that are being triggered so you can clean the slate and move forward with optimism.
I hope my answer is super helpful to all of you, as we all navigate this anniversary and look to the future to hope for better.
Question: Funky rib!
Hey tara -
I’ve got a weird one for you. I have a rib on my left side that pops in and out. It doesn’t hurt; it just goes out of it’s socket or whatever. I’ve had this since I was maybe 9 or 10 years old. Any idea what this could be?
- Jenny
Answer to Jenny’s question starts at 25:32.

Deserving Good in Your Life After an Abusive Childhood
If you grew up dealing with abuse, you may feel - at a deep, unconscious level - like you don’t truly deserve good in your life, which can include healing.
In this special call, I answer a question about this, but I also talk about the 22 signs that you dealt with an abusive childhood (because it can be hard to truly see what happened and the effects of it, since it was just normal to you!).
22 Signs of an emotionally abusive childhood
Parents were extremely moody
Parents were overly critical and negative with you.
Parents were only critical and negative with you, but a sibling (or siblings) were always praised and supported. Or, you were compared to a sibling or someone else in your life, and you always found yourself being told that you were wanting.
Parents didn’t pay attention to your emotions, or invalidated them by saying you were too sensitive, too emotional, too whatever.
Parents made you take care of them, physically or emotionally.
Parents manipulated you with guilt, often for you simply being who you are or trying to do something important to you.
Parents either had massive rages or used the silent treatment on you.
Parents were physically there, but emotionally not present at all.
Parents didn’t allow you to have healthy boundaries.
You were expected to be perfect at all times, but even perfection got criticized.
As an adult, you constantly blame yourself for everything that happens.
As an adult, you have a very hard time saying no - you feel like it’s going to be the end of the world or the end of the relationship.
As an adult, you have a hard time disagreeing with others.
As an adult, you sabotage your efforts at success.
As an adult, you have a deep feeling of not being worthy or needing to prove your worth.
As an adult, you cringe or get anxious when you have to spend time with one or both of your parents.
As an adult, you’ve had a pattern of picking relationships that are strikingly similar to the dynamic between your parents, or the dynamic your parents showed to you.
As an adult, you still worry about how your parent will react to things.
As an adult, you find yourself not telling your parent too much about your life because you know it will be used against you.
As an adult, you are always monitoring everyone else’s emotions and trying to jump in and fix the problem before it blows up.
As an adult, you suffer from low self-worth, although everyone around you thinks you are awesome.
As an adult, you repress your emotions, often working hard to not show any reaction or tell others how you really feel.

Ask Tara Live January 29, 2021: When Grief and Loss Get Stuck in Your Body - How to Honor, Move Through, and Release It
In this live call, I answer a question from Jillian, who has not only gone through the loss of her beloved dad from COVID, but is also helping her two sons to navigate that grief, and now has right side pain. The pain she’s experiencing is a clear expression of the grief she’s not been able to feel in handling all that she has.
No matter who we are or what we’ve lost, grief and loss can get stuck in our bodies. It can be the death of a person, but it can also be the loss of anything else important to us - parts of our identity, an animal, a relationship, a job, a house, or anything else. For all of our wellbeing, knowing how to acknowledge, honor, express, and release grief is one of the most important pieces to staying well. I hope this class is a huge help to all of you!

Ask Tara Live: January 22, 2021 - Tailbone Pain and Foggy Brain
In this Ask Tara Live, I first answer an interesting (and somewhat funny) question about tailbone pain, and I relate it to a time when I had tailbone pain and very much felt that I had been kicked in the booty by someone in my life.
Next, I take a live question from Angie, who is recovering from COVID and still has a sense of foggy brain and lack of concentration. The answer - and the hopeful solution - will help anyone who has found themselves feeling that way, COVID or not.

Ask Tara Live: Staying Rooted During Chaotic TImes
If you are feeling overwhelmed by the chaos and craziness happening in the world, this class will give you all the tools and practices you need to be able to feel centered, grounded, present, and connected.
Whether you are here in the United States or not, there’s been a lot of chaos and dissension in the last week/month/year/several years. In today’s live class, I give you a lot of different methods for staying grounded and rooted, even when everything feels overwhelming.
About halfway through, I tried to do the live with music under it as I take you through a two-part practice - first, to help you pull back into your body when things are too much, and then to help you feel fully grounded and stable. However, the music is way too loud, so I have rerecorded the practice/method part of it on just audio, which you will find below. You can download the audio to use again and again, if you wish. :)
Ask Tara Live: November 27th, 2020 - Gratitude and Manifestation Meditation
Gratitude is one of the best ways to connect with all the things you desire, whether it’s healing from a disease, a new relationship, a new house, or whatever else it might be. In today’s live call, I take you through a meditation designed to fill your heart with gratitude for all you have in your life now, and to connect with gratitude for all that is flowing into your life. I hope this is a resource you can come back to again and again!
For the Thanksgiving weekend here in the US, I talked about the power of gratitude to change your life.
In this live call, I take you through a gratitude and manifestation meditation, because feeling grateful for things that you haven’t even experienced yet is a surefire way connect with that reality (and super-charge it coming into your life).
Ask Tara Live: November 6th, 2020
In today’s call, I start with a 5 minute grounding meditation to help you to feel more stable and grounded, even in these difficult, uncertain times.
Then, I answer two questions about rashes - which have two very different answers!
And, I answer a live question from Melissa about what could be at the root of celiac disease for her.
Well, we’ve got a LOT going on in the world right now, right? It’s making most of us feel a little unstable, so I decided to start today’s call off with a grounding meditation.
Next, I answer two questions about rashes - with very different answers - and I answer a live question from Melissa, who’s been dealing with celiac disease.
If you’d like to jump straight to a specific topic in the video, here are the time stamps:
1:27 - Grounding meditation
12:00 Ask Tara - Question about a red rash from Simon
19:49 Ask Tara - Question about a white rash from Emelia
In my answer, I talk about why someone might have the color drain from their skin and what to do about the intense emotions at the heart of that.
29:31 Celiac disease: I help a live student with her question about celiac disease. Unfortunately, she didn’t have audio, but we still managed to get there and get to the likely underlying message of that particular disease. It was a fascinating one for me to translate - I hope it is for you, too!
Ask Tara Live: October 30th
In today’s live call, I talk about how to develop resilience during the ongoing pandemic (and why it’s perfectly okay to not be okay right now), as well as what the pandemic says about the state of our collective immune system and sense of group safety.
Then, I answer two student questions and tie together long-standing patterns with bone spurs, pain, and ovarian cysts.
In today’s call, I cover several important topics, and, most especially, one that’s be top of my mind - the pandemic. We are all getting exhausted by this ongoing viral threat, by the precautions we need to take to help curb it, and by the uncertainty and isolation that is often required. In order to (hopefully) help, I break down why it’s okay to not be okay, why that’s part of developing resiliency, and what this pandemic is telling us as humanity at this moment in time.
Then, I answer two student questions that are issues people are dealing with right now, but have roots in childhood.
If you’d like to jump to any of the specific topics, here are the timestamps to do so:
7:05 - Pandemic talk - how to develop resiliency to keep getting through this, why it’s okay to not be okay right now, what it says about our collective sense of safety, and why this might be showing up now, and how to increase your own (and the collective) immune system to align with a better way.
20:03 - Ask Tara - a question about bone spurs in the right foot and right hip as well as right-side knee pain, and what that says about what’s going on in Bonnie’s life.
36:44 - Ask Tara - Ovarian cysts - what could they be telling Kathy about blocked creativity?
Ask Tara Live, Part 2: October 23rd, 2020
In Part 2 of this week’s class, I answer a very tough question from Julia, who writes about her abusive childhood and the pressure she is receiving to come back home and take care of her abusive dad, who is now sick.
This leads me to a discussion of the importance of healthy boundaries as we heal (and that boundaries are essential for healing), as well as why it’s okay to neither forgive nor forget. In addition, I talk about toxic spirituality or toxic positivity and why it’s so profoundly unhealthy (and how much more we are seeing of it lately).
This question was one that feel like really cut into the importance of all of this for healing, so please take a watch or listen!

Ask Tara Live, Part 1: October 23rd, 2020
In Part 1 of today's class, I give some follow up from the questions we had last week, and I add to my advice on how to retune a trigger to a new, more empowered way of being.
If you are dealing with something that seems like a trigger or a negative habit, hopefully the suggestions I give here will be a huge help to you.
I apologize for the video quality on this one; I had to move to another part of my house due to massive construction right behind my office, so I couldn’t plug directly into the ethernet.

Ask Tara Live: October 16, 2020
In today’s live call, I tell you about a crazy healing experience I had, answer some great student questions, and talk about how to use a simple system to help yourself to feel better, more centered, and more empowered even in the crazy time in which we find ourselves.
I always say that I am one of my biggest skeptics as to all of this working all the time. As my recent experience with my right leg showed, it just works - and it often works staggeringly fast.
The first question is from Mark, who asks about the connection between prostate cancer, leg issues, and a bad relationship. My answer has a lot to do with his work and connection to identity.
The next question is from Denise, who asks about why she keeps getting a nauseating stomach pain every morning at exactly the same time. Is it a trigger? And to what?
Next, I talk about why people are getting so many headaches right at this moment in time, and what you can do to use that information to empower yourself even with everything you are dealing with right now. (Hint: Are you feeling like you are pounding your head into the wall right now? Are you feeling pressure?)
Finally, I give you a very simple process to help you stop feeling so overwhelmed and be able to use what you are experiencing to find an empowered way forward.
