Have you ever dimmed your light or acted like you were less than, simply to not make someone feel bad?
I have.
My entire life is an example of this.
I’m not doing it anymore, and I challenge you to step up and shine with me.

I’m not doing it anymore, and I challenge you to step up and shine with me.
It’s destructive. It’s a survival tactic learned from old trauma.
And it robs the world of your gifts.
And the world NEEDS your gifts.
I mean, why would you have them if you weren’t supposed to use them?? 🤔
To step up and shine, first - take a look at who in your life makes you feel like you shouldn’t be proud of yourself?
Who makes you feel like you need to shrink so THEY don’t feel insecure?
And then, compare that to how you feel when someone is better than you at something.
Are you jealous?
Or are you inspired?
Do you want to work harder to be more like that person or gain that skill? 🔥
I bet you are the latter.
If someone is jealous of you, it’s on them.
If someone is insecure because of who you are, it’s on them.
If someone needs to you to be less than so that they feel more, it’s on them.
If you’ve got someone in your life that is jealous, insecure, and wants you to be less than, then yeah, be less with them…
Spend LESS time with them.
Spend LESS energy on them.
Spend LESS mental power worrying about what they think.
Or, frankly, show them the door.
How many more people could you serve with who you truly are if you had less of that?

Doing hard (scary) things is the spark that reveals your true strength.
I did something super scary today. Like, not even really THAT scary. I didn't bungee jump or run into a burning building or flee a failing country with my child.
But for me, super scary.
Because sometimes stepping up and doing a really hard thing and committing to growing is the scariest thing you will ever do.

We all love our comfort zones. We might want to do bigger things and go after our dreams in bigger ways, but it's pretty scary to move out of the comfort of what we know. What we know might not really fit us anymore - like that pair of jeans that I am totally someday going to get back into - but it's what we know. And what we know is easy.
Stepping out of that is scary.
Committing to doing the hard work and being extremely uncomfortable for a while is scary.
But the reward is that when you do the scary thing, it's not so scary anymore. It's actually kinda exciting.
And you find out how strong you are, and what amazing things you can create when you are just willing to take a leap of faith and fling yourself out of the known in the direction of the thing you really want.

I certainly have. I have always been horribly critical of myself, and it impacts everything.
I couldn't figure out why I was attracting so many negative experiences to my life where the person or experience seemed to prove to me that I really wasn't worth much of anything.
I'd done all the meditating and visualizing. I'd read all the books.
But you know what I hadn't done?
I hadn't truly worked on loving myself.
Have you ever looked in the mirror and wanted to change everything? Or felt like you were not good enough in any possible way?

So, I started the (very hard) work of radically loving myself.
I decided to start seeing my flaws as assets.
And I finally acknowledged the good things about me (things I never acknowledged, because I thought I was being vain or bragging to admit something good about me).
And EVERYTHING changed. My life became so much happier. I attracted great things to me.
And I started offering what I learned to others.

Want to realign with a belief that you do deserve good in your life?
Take a moment and imagine the happiest moment in your life; one where you felt fulfilled, energized, and loved.
Allow those feelings to flow all over you. Feel as you felt at that moment. See more…
Feeling unsure of yourself?
Want to realign with a belief that you do deserve good in your life?
Take a moment and imagine the happiest moment in your life; one where you felt fulfilled, energized, and loved.
Allow those feelings to flow all over you. Feel as you felt at that moment.
Then, imagine what you want your life to be now and in the future. Imagine having things you dream of. Imagine being the person you wish to be.
Stay connected to those happy feelings you had from your memory, and allow those to power excitement over the life you desire to bring into being.
Then, filled with those feelings of joy, say this affirmation to yourself. Write it down. If there is a color that says "happy" or "confident" to you, get a marker or pen in that color, and use that to write this out.
Do this every day for 30 days, and honestly, everything shifts.
