Station 1
Hi Tara -
Could use your help with something. I am having a lot of pain under my feet. Like, when I walk, my feet hurt. It started a few weeks ago, and it seem like it’s worse first thing in the morning and it’s worse during the week, better on the weekends.
Any thoughts on what is happening?
Thanks -
Tanya
Station 2
Hey Tara -
Not sure what to do with this one - it seems pretty complex. I am having a lot of hip pain, and it is pretty stabbing. It’s definitely worse as I walk forward, but that might be because whatever muscle runs down my leg is tight. It’s the muscle or tendon or whatever on the inside of my leg.
I ended up having an x-ray and an MRI, and it shows a lot of bone spurs on the hip. Apparently, one of the bone spurs is sort of catching the hip as I move forward, if that makes sense.
Looks like I am probably going to need surgery to clean those off, but I’d like to understand why I have them so I can fix that and not have them come back.
Thanks a ton,
James
Station 3:
Dear Tara -
I keep getting kidney stones. It’s always on the right side. I started having them about 2 years ago, I go through a period of excruciating pain to get them to pass, and then I’m okay for a bit. Then they come back.
This last one, I needed surgery to break it up so it could pass.
How do I get this cycle to stop? What is going on? So frustrated.
Thanks,
Leila
Station 4:
Hi Tara -
My blood pressure is sky high right now. The doctor says I need to get it under control, which I will, but I am trying to figure out what’s going on. It’s been high for a while now, but not this high. I am definitely having stress at work, and I am not dealing with it well.
I know I am lonely; I went through a divorce not to long ago. That probably has an impact, too.
Does that make sense? I guess it’s emotional stuff, then?
Thanks,
Elena
Station 5:
Hey Tara-
I need your help with translating this one.
I have polyps on my vocal cords. I am a singer, and this is affecting my ability to perform. I am not sure what the heck to do about it. I started noticing that my voice felt “full” when I spoke - almost like I had something stuck in there. That’s when I went to check it out.
It’s been about 3 months or so.
I love to sing. I want to sing. This is really concerning, because I have a big audition coming up soon, and I have to do something.
Thanks so much…
Station 6
Dear Tara,
I keep breaking out all over my forehead. I am 40! What in the world is happening?
Thanks -
Julie
Station 7
I have developed this pigment-eating thing all over my body; it’s called vitiligo. Basically, I now have all these patches of white on my skin right now; I am very dark-skinned, so it’s startling to look at. There is also a patch on the roof of my mouth.
It’s been happening for the last year and a half or so.
Thanks for taking a look at this for me.
Isaac
Case Study: Translating Wrist Pain
Case Study: Wrist Pain
In today’s Ask Tara, I translated wrist pain experienced by Lila. If you are still working on “getting” the translation process, this one is a terrific one to work along - it’s a textbook example of how someone’s body is telling them exactly what’s off in her life.

Here’s Lila’s question:
Hi Tara,
I’ve got a weird wrist pain that I can’t figure out. It is on my right side, and it feels like I’m being stabbed when I reach out. That seems to be the only time it hurts! I can roll my wrist around and there’s no pain, but I reach forward and ow!
It’s been going on for about a month now. Any idea what’s up?
Thanks so much!
Lila
Self-Love Mini-Workshop - The Power of Self-Love in Illness, Healing, and Manifestation
Self-love is healing.
It’s manifestation.
It’s the belief that you can accomplish your goals.
It’s also at the core of so much of where we
In this mini-workshop, I translate the physical issues from two people, and then we take a deep dive on self-love.
I show you:
Why self-love is so important
What early influences may have made you feel unworthy
Why those beliefs are unlikely to be true
How we can be unable to see the truth about ourselves, and how to start.
Why you are likely a much better person - and more capable - than you ever thought.
And more.
To work through the practices I talk about in the mini-workshop, download the worksheet and Body Love guided self-love exercise below.
Please note: It’s a great idea to use the Body Love guided practice at least every other day to see the biggest benefit!
How did this work for you? What revelations did you have? I’ve love to know. Please comment below!
Downloadable Body Love/Self-Love practice:
Use this along with a mirror (or close your eyes and imagine a mirror).
To properly do the practice, first write down all the things you are grateful that you can experience because you are in the body you are in.
- What things are you grateful that you can feel?
- What things are you grateful for being able to see?
- What things are you grateful for being able to taste?
- What things are you grateful for being able to hear?
- What things are you grateful for being able to touch?
- What things are you grateful to fully experience because you are in your body?
Ask Tara Live January 29, 2021: When Grief and Loss Get Stuck in Your Body - How to Honor, Move Through, and Release It
In this live call, I answer a question from Jillian, who has not only gone through the loss of her beloved dad from COVID, but is also helping her two sons to navigate that grief, and now has right side pain. The pain she’s experiencing is a clear expression of the grief she’s not been able to feel in handling all that she has.
No matter who we are or what we’ve lost, grief and loss can get stuck in our bodies. It can be the death of a person, but it can also be the loss of anything else important to us - parts of our identity, an animal, a relationship, a job, a house, or anything else. For all of our wellbeing, knowing how to acknowledge, honor, express, and release grief is one of the most important pieces to staying well. I hope this class is a huge help to all of you!

Ask Tara Live: January 22, 2021 - Tailbone Pain and Foggy Brain
In this Ask Tara Live, I first answer an interesting (and somewhat funny) question about tailbone pain, and I relate it to a time when I had tailbone pain and very much felt that I had been kicked in the booty by someone in my life.
Next, I take a live question from Angie, who is recovering from COVID and still has a sense of foggy brain and lack of concentration. The answer - and the hopeful solution - will help anyone who has found themselves feeling that way, COVID or not.
